About Vrishabha

Vrishabha is an earth sign ruled by Venus and a fixed sign, so it builds, holds and enjoys. Its symbol is the bull: strong, patient, content in a good field and very hard to move once settled. The Moon is exalted here, at 3°, because the mind is most at peace when it feels secure and nourished.

Taurus holds three padas of Krittika, all of Rohini, the Moon's favourite nakshatra, and the first half of Mrigashira. It loves good food, music, nature and beautiful things, and it values loyalty and steadiness over novelty. Its gift is patience; its test is letting go.

Nakshatras in Taurus

Two and a quarter lunar mansions fall in every sign. The filled circles mark the padas, quarters of 3°20′, that lie in Taurus.

As your Moon sign

Moon in Vrishabha

With the Moon in Vrishabha, its sign of exaltation, the mind tends to be calm, sensuous and steady. You need security, routine and comfort to feel well, and you give the same to others generously. Change can be unsettling, but once you commit, you are deeply loyal.

As your ascendant

Vrishabha rising

Vrishabha rising gives a pleasant, grounded presence, often a beautiful voice or face and a strong neck. Venus rules the chart. You build slowly and well, value comfort and quality, and are drawn to work with money, food, art or the land.
